We named a goldfish David Sedaris, which felt like We named a goldfish David Sedaris, which felt like the right decision at the time. Now it feels like something he should probably know about. If you have a connection to David Sedaris—or to someone who once sat near him, misheard his name, or accidentally followed him out of a bookstore—we would appreciate your assistance in passing along this information. David Sedaris (the fish) is a matte calico yuanbao. He is quietly observant with his notepad, like a detective, hates trash, would feed a tumor to a snapping turtle, and believes nipples regenerate (they don’t, but he believes it). He joins: • Moneypenny (red tiger yuanbao, elegant, possibly dangerous) • Miss Marple (panda oranda, retired but still solving things) They now live alongside Moriarty, Hercules Poirot, Pinot Noir, Rorschach, Terry Gross, Steve Inskeep, and pHinn, which is less a pond and more a panel discussion. We only feed Hikari color-enhancing sinking pellets, which has made a noticeable difference—enough that even David (the fish) seems aware of it. Small, medium, and large available. N. pervillei a Small, medium, and large available. N. pervillei assorted clones BE-3839 is a truly distinctive species endemic to the Seychelles islands of Mahe and Silhouette. One of its most unusual features is found in the upper pitchers, which develop a pronounced central bulge that gives the plant an instantly recognizable silhouette. This species stands apart from many Nepenthes in both form and geographic isolation, making it a unique addition to any collection. This BE-3839 offering is a mixed batch from many different clones, unlike BE-3134 which is derived from a separate grex and limited to a small number of clones. The result is a broader range of variation while still maintaining the core traits of the species. Is this pitcher plant too cute? N. sibuyanensis as Is this pitcher plant too cute? N. sibuyanensis assorted clones BE-3164 is a fascinating Philippine endemic named after Mt Sibuyan. Medium and large available. This species is known for its unusually long tendrils that often burrow into the substrate, likely an adaptation to help stabilize the plant in the typhoon-prone conditions near its summit habitat. The mature pitchers are hard and waxy with beautifully scalloped peristomes, and coloration can range from soft pinks and oranges to deep reds. These four selected clones were chosen from an original batch of 24 for their vigor and variation in color. While each growth point typically produces only one or occasionally two pitchers at a time, each pitcher is long-lasting and highly ornamental, making every one a standout feature.
