Just like our temperate carnivorous plants, we’re going dormant for the winter! 🌱 We’ll be taking a little time to slow down, recharge, and get ready to reemerge in the spring.

Behind the scenes, though, we’ll be busy! We’ll be propagating plants, taking cuttings, dividing, repotting, sowing seeds, growing out young plants, multiplying our stock, acclimating Nepenthes, filling Ping-domes, building bogs, preparing substrates, and generally making a whole lot of plants for the 2027 season.

We’re also using the winter months to work on a better work-life balance. Running a plant nursery, traveling to events, propagating plants, and keeping everything growing is a lot of work, and we want to make sure we’re leaving some time to recharge, too! One of our biggest hobbies and goals is growing more of our own food and learning to preserve it, so we’re hoping to spend some of our slower months in the garden and kitchen as well.

We’re planning for a bigger and even better year in 2027, with lots of in-person events throughout North Carolina from April through June. Our first event will most likely be our 2027 Borneo Exotics pre-order, beginning March 5, with plants shipping from us to you on March 24.

We are so very thankful for an incredible 2026 season and for everyone who bought a plant, stopped by a pop-up, shared a post, asked a question, or simply followed along. We couldn’t do this without you!
