We offer flat-rate shipping of $16 for orders under $150. Orders of $150 or more ship free! If you are experiencing temperatures below 55°F at the time of delivery, please add a heat pack to your order to ensure your plants arrive healthy. We have successfully imported plants from Borneo Exotics 2–4 times per year for the past 7–8 years, and our plants are carefully acclimated for your success. Introducing Nepenthes (veitchii × lowii) × (burbid

Introducing Nepenthes (veitchii × lowii) × (burbidgeae × edwardsiana) — assorted clones, BE‑3980. This hybrid combines four of Sabah’s most iconic Nepenthes species into one spectacular plant. Large, dramatic, and incredibly rewarding to grow, it often shows fascinating variability between individuals.

All four parent species grow near each other in the wild, so it’s likely that hybrids like this may have occurred naturally at some point. We’ve carefully combined several hundred clones from two greges, giving collectors a wide range of forms to enjoy.

This is a truly special species — the only Nepenthes native to India, endemic to the Khasi Hills of Meghalaya and neighboring regions, and well-known for its bulbous pitchers and unique natural history. N. khasiana is classified as Endangered in the wild and protected under CITES Appendix I due to its limited distribution and declining habitat.

This species is also fascinating for how it attracts prey — its peristome has been shown to fluoresce under UV light, which likely helps lure insects toward its slippery pitcher rim. (Through this discovery, we now know many other species glow in UV light as well).

This plant grows well in lowland and intermediate conditions. It grew very fast for us in Florida.

Nepenthes merrilliana × aristolochioides: best selected clones — BE-3877

If you’re a fan of Nepenthes aristolochioides crosses, this one is an absolute must! The pitchers show beautiful leopard patterning and translucent backs, just like the male parent, while the size from N. merrilliana gives them larger, impressive pitchers than either parent.

These hybrids are intermediate growers, far easier to cultivate than their parents, and tolerate a wide range of temperatures — basically, a mix of charm and toughness. I can’t even right now… they are so cute, and always a popular item. We’ll have 15 available to appease you all!

One of the highlights of my visit to Borneo Exotic

One of the highlights of my visit to Borneo Exotics in Sri Lanka was seeing Nepenthes rajah up close — including a few plants growing outside. While we were technically there during the “wrong” season to catch the legendary giant pitchers at their peak, the sheer size of the plants and the fresh pitchers forming were still absolutely impressive. Even without fully mature traps, the scale, structure, and presence of N. rajah make it clear why it’s considered one of the most iconic carnivorous plants in the world.
