We are very excited to be importing again and building back our inventory.

N. merrilliana x aristolochioides – best selected clones: BE-3877 will be available for pre-order starting next Friday, September 20th at 6 PM EST.

"The form of the pitcher as well as the leopard patterning are very reminiscent of the male parent, N. aristolochioides. So too is the translucent rear to the pitcher when viewed through the pitcher mouth, from the point of view of an insect. This characteristic is easily seen in the video – although not mentioned in the narrative. The size of the pitchers conferred from the female parent, N. merrilliana, can become quite large, certainly far larger than N. aristolochioides, which is a diminutive species. It’s also a far easier to cultivate than either of the parent species and is an intermediate grower, tolerant of a wide range of temperatures."

N. villosa - best selected clone: BE-3225 are one of the many species of Nepenthes that we will be offering!

"Selected many years ago from amongst 22 clones for its vigour, this clone is known to be far easier to grow than any example of this species offered from vendors elsewhere. N. villosa is renowned to be difficult to grow and usually needs very cool night temperatures. However, we don’t find this with our clone. The photos shown here are from plants of this clone grown in our nurseries, which never drop below 12 deg C at night (the maximum temperature might reach 30 deg C on a hot day). The difficult stage for this species is when plants are small and tender, but when established and hardened, they are not so difficult, but still slow. Although these plants are slightly smaller than our usual “small” size, having a leaf canopy of at least 3.5cm (1 ½”) in diameter, they are considerably larger than the last time we offered them, some years back. They are VERY well-hardened. Please note that it is a characteristic of this species that sometimes plants may have a healthy leaf canopy and pitchers and poorly developed root systems."

Although it is September, it is still very hot in Florida. While we prefer to grow most of our lowland carnivorous plants outside, poolside, so we can enjoy them, but also to make sure they are good to go in other people's backyards, these plants have to hang out here until our construction is done - which hopefully will only be a few more weeks.

This is a nice red (but also a little purple) Nepenthes bicalcarata from Thailand that is in our personal collection. It is at the size and age now that it should be producing a flower soon.

Flytraps, butterworts, and sundews are temporarily housed in our vegetable garden. They are amongst the beans, peppers and bananas currently. Hope they are eating well.

Since our FL state certified nursery is in disarra

Since our FL state certified nursery is in disarray due to Tropical Storm Debbi...it's hard to find where all the plants are. Some are in the greenhouse, others are by the vegetables and some are just scattered around the 1+ acre property.

We will be back up and running soon!

But until then, we can all admire this Nepenthes "Gothica" that is in our person collection. Parents of Nepenthes "Gothica" are Nepenthes maxima and Nepenthes sibuyanensis.
