One (1) Sarracenia purpurea var. venosa (Purple pitcher plant) plug
🌿❤️ Low, wide, and beautifully veined.
This hardy North American pitcher plant forms squat, open pitchers that hug the ground, often flushed deep red with bold, contrasting veins. Unlike many taller Sarracenia, purpurea var. venosa holds rainwater in its pitchers, creating a natural bug-trapping pool.
Cold-tolerant and easy to grow, it’s a classic species that brings rich color and texture to any bog garden or collection. One of the easier Sarracenia to grow under lights.
They will ship bareroot. You will need to pot them up in carnivorous plant appropriate soil. They do well in 1/2 peat and 1/2 perlite OR 1/2 peat and 1/2 sand.
They grow in full sun. They do best with seasons, so they can go through dormancy. (A how to grow guide will be included).
