One (1) N. (veitchii x lowii) x platychila: BE-3920 SMALL
The female parent Nepenthes veitchii x lowii is a remarkably robust plant which produces huge pitchers that exude nectar from beneath the lid and have been known to catch rats in our nurseries. The male parent is Nepenthes platychila, with its unrivalled wide peristome. When we created this hybrid, we hoped that the intermediate and upper pitchers might be special with flared peristomes, and as the photos show, it’s turned out to be that way.
