One (1) N. campanulata BE-3044 SMALL

Photos are provided by Borneo Exotics and are representative.  Plants may or may not currently have pitchers.

Details from BE:Nepenthes campanulata is one of the most unique species in the genus. It’s a compact grower, ideal for terrariums and does well under artificial lights. Although found in the lowlands of East Kalimantan and Sarawak, we are classing it as ‘intermediate’, because we’ve found that it grows well in our highland nurseries, where temperatures range from 10–25 deg. C (50–75 deg. F). Its natural habitat is on limestone cliffs and it’s never been observed to produce climbing stems or upper pitchers. This growth habit of remaining compact and spreading through underground basal shoots is another characteristic that makes it a great terrarium plant for limited spaces.

Diminutive species with yellow pitchers and delicate toothed peristome. For a very long time this species was only recorded from a single location in Kalimantan, Indonesia and believed to have become extinct. However, it was re-discovered in Sarawak by Ch’ien Lee in 1997.

History: First introduced in 2006 on our old PDF price list, it was rarely available and for a long time, plants were sold singly. Between March 2018 and March 2020 it appeared occasionally on our wholesale auctions and was then unavailable for more than 1 ½ years, until added to the shop in Nov 2021.
Description: All clones of this selection are of identical appearance and have been selected from an original 24 clones for their vigor, with the less vigorous clones being discarded. This item comprises a mixture of both male and female plants.

Ships bareroot. Roots will be wrapped in sphagnum moss, but you will need to provide your own pot and more potting substrate when the plant arrives. Extra care will be needed as the pre-order plants will need to be acclimated slowly to your conditions. This means low light and high humidity. Check out this video that I helped write for the ICPS on “How to acclimate your carnivorous plants.”
