Dionaea muscipula ‘Alien’ is a very famous prostrate cultivar with large, elongated and curved ‘bean-shaped’ traps, featuring fine and short teeth. The distinctive feature lies in the shape of the trap’s teeth, which in the mature plant are often bifurcated. It is slow-growing but currently holds the Guinness World Record for the size of its traps.
