Selected out of many different clones for its large pitchers with uniform deep purple colouration as the photos and videos here clearly show.
The female parent is the famed cultivar Nepenthes ‘Bill Bailey’ (= N. singalana x ventricosa), and the male parent is the giant black N. robcantleyi, with the cultivar name ‘King of Spades’. The correct Latin name for this cultivar is N. (singalana x ventricosa) x robcantleyi.
