One (1) N. hamata x (lowii x tentaculata) – assorted clones: BE-4526 SMALL

This is a relatively diminutive Nepenthes until it comes to the upper pitchers, which, as the latest videos show, get quite large. If pruned, it would be suitable for a terrarium, but if allowed to vine in a larger space, such as a greenhouse, it will produce handsome upper pitchers which clearly show the dentate characteristics of N. hamata. The form of N. hamata used here as the female parent is known for not producing the incredibly spectacular upper pitchers of the Gng. Tambusisi form we have not noticed any difference between the two when used as a hybrid parent, which is why we still breed with it. The male parent is N. lowii x tentaculata which is a diminutive hybrid and a true natural hybrid, having originated from legally wild-collected many years ago.

Photos are provided by Borneo Exotics and are representative.  Plants may or may not currently have pitchers.

Ships bareroot. You will need to provide your own pot and more potting substrate when the plant arrives. Extra care will be needed as the pre-order plants will need to be acclimated slowly to your conditions. This means low light and high humidity. Check out this video that I helped write for the ICPS on “How to acclimate your carnivorous plants.”
