Photos are provided by Borneo Exotics and are representative.  Plants may or may not currently have pitchers.

BE NOTES: “

History: First introduced in 2006 on our old PDF price list, it was available for only a few years before going out of stock for about ten years. In late 2017 a total of 12 batches were offered on the wholesale auctions with a further two batches auctioned in Dec 2021. It was added to the shop for the first time in May 2022.

Item Description: This is the form from Gng. Serapi, which generally has large greenish egg-shaped pitchers with purple speckling.

Cultivation Notes: As with all our lowland and some of our intermediate growing species, these plants have been weaned out of microprop using artificial lighting and high humidity. They are in a highly vigorous growth mode and as such, the leaves are not very hard because they are growing so extremely quickly, plus this species naturally has soft leaves anyway. Because they are so vigorous, they will establish easily and put on size quickly. The root systems are well developed, but when first received they will require high humidity at all times until settled in, even during the early handling stages.

Photo notes: Photos are of representative clones and may not be identical to plants shipped.

Source: A random selection from several different clones out of microprop.

Ships bareroot. Roots will be wrapped in sphagnum moss, but you will need to provide your own pot and more potting substrate when the plant arrives. Extra care will be needed as the pre-order plants will need to be acclimated slowly to your conditions. This means low light and high humidity. Check out this video that I helped write for the ICPS on “How to acclimate your carnivorous plants.”
