One (1) Nepenthes {[(lowii x veitchii) x boschiana] x [(veitchii x maxima) x veitchii]} x edwardsiana – clone # 3: BE-4678 MEDIUM
This is the most complex hybrid we have ever introduced and despite half of the parentage being the superlative, but slow-growing, Nepenthes edwardsiana, there’s nothing slow or particularly difficult about this cross when it comes to growing it. Supplied to us by our partners at ‘Florae Collaborative’, we shall be introducing a number of different clones over the coming months and at the time of launch, we’re not yet certain which might be the best of them, but this one certainly is excellent, with the pronounced peristome ribs of Nepenthes edwardsiana very evident atop hard dark pitchers.
It has such a complex name that for the sake of simplicity it’s generally abbreviated to N. {[(L x V) x B] x [(V xM) x V]} x edwardsiana and is identical to Florae Collaborative’s clone FC-145.
We hope you enjoy growing this amazing cross as much as we do!
Origin: Horticultural, bred by Florae Collaborative and partners.
Source: From a single clone.
